For Students, By Students
The WorkSTAY WOKE is a day-long summit that empowers global majority students to use their voices, build their cultural communities, engage in creative criticality, and develop the skills needed to self-determine their identities and to design the future we need, want, and deserve!
All students are welcome to participate! Our focus is on the education, leadership, lived experiences, and issues impacting students of color. White students willing to develop their allyship skills into accomplice work towards racial justice are welcome! 2021 River Ridge High School virtual participants from front to back: Jaylynn Jones, Alice Trinh, Susanne Le, Tylar Alexander |
The PeopleStay Woke is organized by a committee of students, families, educators, and community members mainly from the North Thurston, Olympia, and Tumwater school districts.
